Watchet Live Music Festival

Plug In were at Watchet Live Music Festival in 2010, which is held yearly over the August Bank holiday weekend from the Friday to Sunday.

Set in the amazing views of the west somerset coast line and beyond, with the mainstage backing out over the sea - there aren't many more places you'd rather be on a sunny August bank holiday, sat in a field, watching a band, with a cider in your hand with the sun beaming down onto you. Bliss. It's a really family friendly festival with on site camping, 2 stages, open mic tent, Something Else Tea Tent, food court, workshops, real ale and cider bar and onsite parking - it really is a nice place to be for the weekend.

The music starts on both stages Friday evening & continues through till Sunday night, with the music stopping at 11pm each night - acts vary from tribute artists to up and coming bands and much more like The Beat, The Wurzels, My Winehouse, The Bad Shepherds - there's some real talent to be seen.

In 2010 there were some awesome acts to be seen across the whole weekend aswell as some more unusal shows there was street dancing shows and workshops, aerobics, cabaret, drumming workshop, circus skills and regular childrens entertainment & much more!

Plug In were asked to film the festival and produce a 2010 highlights film - so here it is.

The dates for 2011 are August 26/27/28th, more details and information will be released on their official site as bands/acts are booked over the coming months - early bird tickets available now until 31st March - www.watchetfestival.co.uk

Just an update

Hi,

It's been a while - just a quick post to keep everyone updated on how things are going with Plug In. It's all been a bit Fluxy here over the past couple of month's and thats going to continue, but in the coming months we'll have lots more bands featured here!

We have 2 photoshoots scheduled in with 2 really cool bands - so check out Social Flatline & Beyond the Brink (Previously Shadows Burn)

Also we have another video shoot planned with The Van Grahams - these guys are bags of fun & we're really looking forward to shooting with them & another video shoot which may be on the cards is for an awesome band who performed exellently in last years Mid Somerset Battle of the Bands - but we're keeping hush on who that is at the moment.

On a final note - Plug In had one of its photo's printed from the recent All About Flux shoot on the front page of today's Central Somerset Gazette - shown below! Wooo!

The White Stripes belong to you now.

13 Years and six albums later The White Stripes announce they've split and go out saying "The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful.”

The ex husband and wife duo put the split down to wanting to preserve what is "beautiful and special" about the band and can do what we want with their music, so in that case here are a few of our favourites and White Stripes highlights from over the years.
